Through a seasonal account of moose behavior, Jennie Promack debunks the myth that moose are dumb lunky Bullwinkles, with insights that speak of their intelligence, power, and majesty. During the writing and photographing of this book, Promack and Sanker came to know specific moose. Especially endearing is the miraculous survival story of Annie, a moose calf orphaned at five weeks of age, who Promack and Sanker kept track of for more than a year.
